Welcome to the Highfield Event Group Ltd, the leading marquee hire and event management company in Cambridgeshire. Established in 1979 near Cambridge, we are a family-run company that has grown over the years and built a solid reputation for Marquee hire. Our founder Garry Chapman is joined by daughter Claire as director of sales and event management and son Christopher as senior foreman.

We can create the marquee of your dreams whatever the event and its size: from weddings and parties to corporate exhibitions or the grand university balls for which Cambridge is famous. About us: we are very fortunate to have a broad and diverse team, with a variety of different backgrounds and experience. But we are all united by our passion for our work and for our commitment to helping you have the best day you can.

Garry Chapman

Director CEO and Founder

Garry is our our chairman, CEO and founder.  He is a font of knowledge when it comes to marquees and is always happy to share his experience or recall a tale or two from the past. Garry oversees everything that takes place at The Highfield Event Group and is the linchpin of our organisation.

Claire Chapman

Managing Director, Director of Sales and Event Management

Claire is one of the three directors at Highfield and has been involved in the industry for as long as she remembers. Her job is her passion and as vital to Claire as the air she breathes. Claire is a member of the MUTA Executive Committee, the UK’s only Marquee Trade Association dedicated to raising industry standards.

Chris Chapman

Director and Senior Foreman

The third director and the head Foreman, Chris provides the link between management and on-site teams and is instrumental in making it all happen. His experience is phenomenal, making him a critical member of our team. Chris also has a fabulous of humour and it is big hit with all he works with.

Chris Alleyne

The Highfield mover and groover, you may see Chris dancing his way round your marquee install! Our clients never have a bad word to say about Chris. He is always happy to help with a professional and charming approach.

Stefan Wray

Foreman

Our third foreman, Stefan is a bundle of energy and a fast-talker to boot! A cheerful cheeky chappy, Stefan is very good at what he does, making him very popular with our clients.

Paul Olen

Director Manufacturing & Transport

Paul has been with us from the very start. What Paul does not know about marquees is not worth knowing. Paul looks after all our fleet of vehicles, repairs and creates essential kit for us and generally makes himself indispensable in every way, every day.

Emily Heslop

Sales Manager

Emily has been part of the Highfield family for years. She knows the business inside out and there is no better person to advise you on your requirements. Emily is a professional in everything she does and her personality makes her a pleasure to work with.

Alix Jones

Sales & Marketing Assistant

Alix assists in all walks of the Highfield life, from sales to social media. Her friendly voice will be the first one you hear when you call us. Alix has a passion for life and animals. When not in the office, Alix can be found volunteering to help our prickly friends at the Hedgehog hospital.

Grace Owen

Marquee Bookings Coordinator

Enthusiastic and methodical, Grace brings much needed order to our fast-paced days! She is fun, fast-witted and full of charm.

Louisa Kennedy

Business Support

Louisa runs Marquee Hire Direct, our  trade-to-trade marquee hire company. She devises and implements the company’s marketing and advertising strategy. She also helps out with anything else that requires doing!

Mark Burrows

Accounts Manager

A man of many talents, Mark joins us to oversee all matters financial and is already proving to be a fabulous asset to our company.

Karen Langlands

Finance Administrator

Karen is responsible for our Finances, working alongside Pam Ellwood. Karen has been part of the team for over eight years and is laid back and totally unflappable

The only blonde in the office! -Pam has a serious eye for perfection and the most friendly of personalities.

Suzanne Mayers

HR Manager

Suzanne juggles several jobs, working as PA to Garry, Claire and Chris, as well as handling all matters HR. She is always smiling, regardless of what you throw at her. She is also a keen baker and is happy to share her wares with us, much to our delight
